Jennifer Lawrence is taking on the role of yet another self-made female entrepreneur. Variety reports Lawrence will produce and star in a new movie about Theranos, the medical services and health technology company founded by Elizabeth Holmes in 2003.
So, why make a movie about a medical startup?
Holmes, who is now 32, was listed as the world's youngest self-made woman billionaire by Forbes in 2015, with an estimate net worth of $4.5 billion from her 50% stake in the company. But this year, after allegations that the blood-testing products do not work as advertised prompted new investigations into the company, her net worth plummeted. And we mean *plummeted*—Forbes now estimates her net worth is zero.
That's some Hollywood-worthy drama for you.
Adam McKay will write and direct the film. McKay recently directed The Big Short, so he knows a thing or two about crisis movies. Just like everything else J.Law does, this movie will no doubt be amazing.
