Here's Your First Look at Margot Robbie's Bonkers Turn as Tonya Harding
'I, Tonya' looks like a trip.
Tonya Harding is still one of the most infamous American athletes of all time, an extremely polarizing figure who rose to semi-stardom ahead of the 1994 Winter Olympics after her boyfriend hired a man to attack her biggest competitor, Nancy Kerrigan. Harding became a public enemy following Kerrigan's injury, and had a major flameout during the Olympics despite her talent on the ice.

Such a juicy public feud with Kerrigan and a dramatic sports arc make great fodder for a biopic, and Craig Gillespie's I, Tonya already has a lot of buzz after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Starring Margot Robbie as Harding (she's perfectly rocking those early-'90s bangs) and Allison Janney as Harding's mother, LaVona, I, Tonya takes the black comedy route rather than being a sentimental sports movie—and it could earn Robbie an Oscar nomination next year.
I, Tonya hits theaters in December. Watch the first teaser trailer for the movie below.
