Someone Is Hacking Muslim Fashion Accounts on Instagram

And even posting Donald Trump videos.

The fashion world is making major strides when it comes to Muslim women, with companies like H&MUniqlo, and Dolce & Gabbana selling high-fashion hijab lines. But sadly, not everyone is on board with the Muslim fashion world. The Cut reports that several high-profile fashion brands and bloggers have been hacked on Instagram.

Australian journalist Jennine Khalik pointed out the hack on Tuesday, noting that the hackers were posting Donald Trump videos on at least one account, and emailing fashion houses with anti-Muslim messages.

The Hijab House Instagram account is now completely blank, with just one follower. The hacker, with the username blurryxans, took the brand's 162,000 followers, made the account private, and, it appears, deleted all the photos.

One popular Instagrammer posted that she was hacked and her account was given the new name @BlackXans. Instagram has yet to reinstate her account, so she had to start a new one.

Maria Moufid, who runs the account @hijabmuslim, says a hacker targeted her with a fake message saying her account was ready to be verified.

Some hackers have demanded a ransom, and others have simply said there's nothing the bloggers can do. But all of the affected users are demanding Instagram take action to restore their accounts.
