Is This What Mrs. Potts Will Look Like in Live-Action 'Beauty and the Beast'?
Slightly creepy, but cool.
We're all excited for Disney's live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, aren't we? The sneak peeks so far have been incredible, with a new featurette showing just how perfect Emma Watson is as Belle. However, we've been left in the dark as to how many of the enchanted characters—such as Plumette, the feather duster, and Mrs. Potts, the talking teapot—will look when the film arrives.
Well, until now.
You see, if you look really closely at Emma and Dan Stevens' table read, you'll notice some concept art propped up in the background that appears to show Mrs. Potts. FYI, the character is being played—no doubt, flawlessly—by Emma Thompson, and if these pictures are to be believed, her face will be printed on the front of a teapot.
It's kind of cool, and we have every ounce of faith that Disney will make us believe that she really is a talking teapot. But… these pictures are kind of creepy, no?
Meanwhile,we also spy Lumiere and Cogsworth in the video, played respectively by Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen. Now, we just have to sit back and wait for a preview of Dan in full Beast mode. Oh, and Emma in that yellow ballgown. Bring on March 2017.
