Kenneth Cole and Jill Martin can kick up their heels now that they've officially broken a Guinness Record.
The designer and Today Show contributor created a 6 feet, 1 inch-tall model of Cole's Fall 2014 Otto boot, which required 400 hours and five and a half hides to make. The shoe entered the record books Thursday during an episode of Today.
"The steps involved with creating a shoe are so underestimated, so when Jill called with this idea, I immediately jumped at the chance," Cole told Women's Wear Daily. "My career as a designer has literally reached a new height, and as one might assume, breaking a Guinness World Record is no small feet."
Normal-size versions of the shoe will go on sale until 6 p.m. Friday, with $5 from each purchase going toward children's charity Garden of Dreams Foundation.
