During New York Fashion Week, model Emily Ratajkowski overheard a reporter call First Lady Melania Trump a "hooker," so she did something about it. She hopped on Twitter and denounced slut-shaming, directly coming to the defense of Melania. FLOTUS swiftly responded, and now the New York Times reporter in question has issued a statement explaining himself. Read it below.

As a reminder, slut-shaming is never okay, and this apology was certainly warranted. All the applause to Ratajkowski for standing up for women, but it would be great to see FLOTUS do the same—and we don't just mean via Twitter.
