Selena Gomez is about to launch a beauty brand, so it's only fitting that her first major red carpet event of February 2020 was a beauty awards show. (Sorry to the Oscars, but the Hollywood Beauty Awards were first on the calendar.)
Gomez opted for a Valentine's Day-ready look for the ceremony: She wore a blush, off-the-shoulder Patou dress, embellished with bows. Her hair was styled up, and she brought back her curtain bangs. Makeup-wise, Gomez had on a bold coral lip. She accessorized with Roberto Coin jewelry and wore Aquazzura heels.
Gomez is launching Rare Beauty in the summer, but she was at the beauty event just to support her friends. The singer was photographed with her go-to glam team, makeup artist Hung Vanngo and hairstylist Marissa Marino, who both won awards at the event.
Marino and Vanngo shared Instagrams after, reflecting on their wins and the evening.
"Thank you @hollywoodbeautyawards and to everyone who voted!" Marino wrote. "It is truly an honor to be recognized for everything I’ve worked so hard for over the last 15 years. Also huge congrats to @hungvanngo for winning tonight as well!! and to @selenagomez for being my ride or die friend & client for the past 8 years....love you!"
"I am over the moon receiving the @HollywoodBeautyAwards The Nicki Ledermann Award for Makeup Artist tonight!" Vanngo wrote. "This moment celebrates a life-long journey of following my passion. I am thankful for the opportunities to work with many beautiful, talented people. Congratulations to my friend @marissa.marino for her win too. Shout-outs to @selenagomez for always being there for us and @kateyoung @thatgirlbeverly and my manager @melissaannepursel for coming to support. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
