Kanye West generally likes to drive a point home (opens in new tab) when it comes to acceptance speeches, and while accepting Footwear News' Shoe of the Year Award, the rapper/possible presidential candidate (opens in new tab) focused on the joy of creating—and the joy of being a parent.

"I'm waiting on my son to arrive any day now and I look at my daughter and I look at my wife and she's rich and I don't plan on being broke," he said to the audience. "I'm so, so focused on creating."

Hear that?! ANY DAY NOW, you guys. (No word yet on that whole naming situation (opens in new tab).)

"Your job is to create while you are here," he continued. "And if anything stalls that or gets in the way of that, we have to burn it to the f*cking ground."

Strong words, but when have we known Kanye to be soft spoken?
