Owned by jewelry designer Kim Gobbi, The Studio is the first shop in the North Shore to promote eco-friendly styles from indie designers. The boutique carries clothing, jewelry, handbags and shoes from a mix of well-favorites, including Foley + Corinna’s City Tote, Orla Kiely’s oilcloth bags, Prairie Underground’s ruched hoodie sweatshirts and Del Forte organic denim, as well as dresses by undiscovered talents like Modaspia out of San Francisco and Myth & Ritual out of NYC. You’ll also find one-of-a-kind leather bags by Vancouver-based Ashley Watson; summer shoes made in Brazil from recycled materials by Melissa; and walnut wedge sandals by Mohop, on which you can change the ribbons for a new look anytime you please. All of the jewelry at The Studio is handmade, including owner Gobbi’s own line, Jonesy’s Jewels (crafted on-site from vivid semiprecious gems and freshwater pearls), and necklaces by Vermont glass artist Caitlin Burch, who sandblasts glass beads to give them the look and feel of river stones.
