Seven-day-old Saint West may not yet understand just how impressive a chic baby gift can be, but of course his mother, Kim Kardashian, gets it. The reality star took to her website to share with fans the person she felt went above and beyond to show appreciation for her newborn son.
"My friend Jaime King sent me the BEST baby gift!!! I had to share it with you guys because I just love it," Kardashian wrote on Friday. "It's from Simone LeBlanc and the packaging is so cool. We received adorable presents by Fog Linen packed inside these wooden boxes and everything is in soft neutral tones."
"This was such a sweet gift that's personal to Baby, Mommy and even Daddy!" Kardashian added, complimenting the actress's thoughtfulness.
With cozy contents for little Saint like a blanket, booties and an alpaca teddy bear (plus, a sea salt scrub and coconut body butter for mom!) included in the the $300 "New Mom & Baby Box," it's clear why the now-parent of two is so enthused.
While the Kardashian-King friendship hasn't been publicized nearly as much as Kim's relationships with other celebrities, the women quietly formed a strong bond after Jaime (who also has two children) stood up for the Selfish author post-ridicule for her 2013 Met Ball ensemble.
"I couldn't stop crying because here was this beautiful glowing pregnant woman who is probably so excited to be attending the Met Ball for the first time with the man that she loved," King recalled to ELLE. "And she had this beautiful dress made for her that was very daring and very gorgeous, and she has a beautiful growing child inside of her, and yet everybody bashed her and called her a whale or said she looked like a couch or drapes."
Two years—and four kids—later, King and Kardashian are closer than ever.
