Justin Bieber's Latest Unlikely Feud Is Over...a Shirt

Don't come for Marilyn Manson.

Justin Bieber's Purpose tour merch made a big splash when it first launched, but its heavy metal aesthetic (opens in new tab) (first popularized by Kanye West) has irked plenty of metal and rock icons along the way. He also regularly wears actual merch shirts by those same "inspiration" bands:

One of the items in the Biebs' arsenal is a straight-up reprint of a Marilyn Manson shirt (with the addition of the phrase "Bigger Than Satan...Bieber" on the back). It sold for $195 on Barneys' website, with the designer Fear of God claiming Manson had okayed the "collaboration" (opens in new tab):

But in a new interview with Consequence of Sound (opens in new tab), 48-year-old Manson blasted 23-year-old Justin for not just copying the shirt design and using his likeness without permission, but also being a jerk to Manson from...the moment they met:

Manson never intended to actually show up, but the Biebs had already told him that the shirt was, in fact, a merch idea—and so when Manson's team decided to cash in on those sales, Justin's team forked the money over without a fight.
