As part of her ongoing effort to advocate for homeless and LGBT youth through her Happy Hippie Foundation, Miley Cyrus kicked off an #InstaPride photo series today "to share the stories of transgender and gender expansive people from around the country."

The singer and famous rejecter of labels is launching her campaign—which she personally photographed—with Leo, a 19-year-old college student from Michigan. "I hope the focus shifts away from personal questions regarding medical history, and onto questions about hopes and dreams, likes and dislikes, hobbies and activities," he said in an extensive Q&A on "I really hope society continues to see how far love and acceptance can carry folks."

Cyrus will release more photos over the next two weeks, so stay tuned for updates.
