
It's an honor just to be nominated. Particularly, when that nomination comes with a six-figure gift bag. This year's Oscar nominees in the categories of Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, and Best Supporting Actor/Actress will go home with gift bags valued between $125,000 and $150,000. As reported by Variety, this year's bags include:
The bags, curated by a company called Distinctive Assets, are not sanctioned by the Academy, which, as Variety notes, ended its own gift bag-stravaganza nine years ago over tax concerns. Uncle Sam needs to cash in on that mind control, too.
