These 24 Labor Day Fashion Sales Are Too Good to Skip

As a fashion editor, I’m currently focused on the new fall fashion trends. While my budget for new fall essentials has dwindled after a summer filled with weekends away, I’m using the best Labor Day sales to get me (and my wardrobe) in the mood for the new season.

So many brands are offering discounts for the holiday—which officially lands on September 2, by the way—so I scoured the internet to find the best ones worth your time and budget now that the sales have kicked off. My finds include the cutest-ever fall jackets from Mango, some very trendy denim from J.Crew, a cozy sweater from Everlane, and plenty of fall workwear staples from Gap. Other highlights include Nordstrom's ever-growing list of discounted finds—there are currently 17,000 items included right now—and a few secretly on-sale pieces at both Reformation and Aritzia you should snag before they sell out. Nordstrom's Summer Sale is full of fall finds, despite the name. From now through September 10, thousands of transitional pieces from soft cashmere sweaters to fall-ready dresses are up to 60 percent off.

J.Crew

You can always count on J.Crew to run a great sale, especially during holidays. During the brand's Long-Weekend Event running now through September 3, you can take 40 percent off sitewide, which includes everything from cardigans and tank tops to fall denim and accessories. As a sweet holiday treat, you can also earn an additional 50 percent off select sale styles with the code WEEKEND.

Saks Fifth Avenue

If you're looking to score a fresh designer handbag for the new season, Saks Fifth Avenue is the place to shop. Day. The retailer is offering up to 70 percent off on plenty of designer brands, including Mansur Gavriel, Khaite, Staud, and more. The sale is going through September 3, so you should fill your cart early.

Aritzia

Aritzia is secretly running a sale right now. The cool-girl brand has so many discounted finds in its sale section, including trendy cargo pants and the perfect winter coat. There's no word on when this sale ends, so add your favorite sale finds to your cart while you still can.

Gap

Don't sleep on Gap for quality wardrobe basics. From now through September 3, you can score anywhere from 40 to 60 percent off fan-favorite styles, including layerable long-sleeve tees and linen pants perfect for the fall. What's more, is that you can also take an extra 60 percent off the entire sale section.

Net-a-Porter

Net-a-Porter's designer selection rarely goes on sale, but it just so happens the retailer is in the middle of a big sale right now. A whopping 11,000 items are discounted, and you can get an extra 20 percent off the sale section with the code "EXTRA20." There's no better time to invest in a cool new leather jacket or a wedding guest dress for fall than now.

Reformation

Reformation doesn't throw sales often, but there are some pretty major discounted items right now. My finds include a pretty green dress with a trendy drop waist and a slinky black top to upgrade my going-out outfits. These pieces are 70 percent off for a limited time, so act fast.

Banana Republic

Banana Republic's sale section is currently filled to the brim with great end-of-season finds. There are summer basics like tank tops and linen shorts, but there are also fall staples like chic leather totes and blazers at up to 40 percent off. Even better is that you get an additional 20 percent off sale items at checkout, but you only have through September 2 to grab your favorites.

Mango

Mango's Labor Day sale is officially here. Use code "EXTRA30" to score 30 percent off when you spend $220 or more. Our picks include a trendy barn jacket and a pair of silver mesh flats that Zendaya could easily be spotted in.

Neiman Marcus

Neiman Marcus is running a buy-more-save-more sale right now. You get 20 percent off when you buy one item, 25 percent off on two, and 30 percent off on three or more items. The discount code "NMSEPT" also gets you between $100 and $250 off on select items.

Bergdorf Goodman

From now through the holiday weekend, you can enjoy up to 75 percent off over 3,000 (!!) designer finds at Bergdorf Goodman. The retailer is giving shoppers an extra 20 percent off selected items. I have my eye on a striped sweater dress from Jason Wu and a denim mini skirt in one of fall 2024's top trending colors.

Abercrombie & Fitch

I'm loving Abercrombie & Fitch right now. Its denim selection has every fit you could ever want, and its range of comfortable basics is unmatched in quality and affordability. The brand's clearance section is full of everything from both categories, and you can earn 20 percent off NFL gear (like an adorable Kanas City Chiefs shirt so you can support Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce) and 15 percent off everything else.

Madewell

Madewell's Labor Day sale is not one you want to miss. Over 1,300 finds are included, including New Yorker-approved pieces like straight-leg jeans and a cute crossbody camera-style bag.
