While Sarah Jessica Parker's eight-year alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw remains the reigning queen of Manolo Blahnicks, the actress and style mogul revealed in June that she would be launching her own line of shoes for Nordstrom. And yesterday, Parker debuted her collection to a lucky crew of editors at the St. Regis Hotel yesterday with a simple tagline: "Trust in the simple."
Parker's line features a delightful range of high heels, mid-heels, and even a flat — surprisingly un-Carrie Bradshaw of her, no? — in classic designs like Mary Jane pumps and a T-strap situation so appropriately dubbed the "Carrie." Said Parker's business partner George Malkemus: "I want people walking down the street to instantly know a woman is wearing an SJP," he said. And with price points starting at $250, it's on the slightly more affordable end of designer kicks.
