TMZ (opens in new tab) reports that Kim Kardashian has received an apology letter from the mastermind behind the Paris heist.

According to the celebrity news and gossip site, Kim's French attorneys received a letter from Aomar Ait Khedache, the leader of the robbery.

"After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted," he wrote, "I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence. I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears."

Khedache added that he'd seen interviews with Kim after the robbery and that he "fully sympathizes" with her pain.

"Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones," he wrote.

He ends the letter with, “I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault.”

Kim has not issued a response but this post will be updated if and when she does.
