Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have quietly welcomed their first child. The couple, who never verbally confirmed Turner's pregnancy, became parents to a baby girl this past Wednesday, according to TMZ. The baby's name is reportedly Willa.
Turner and Jonas were married last year. Reports of Turner's pregnancy first came out in February. A source told JustJared, which broke the news at the time, that "the couple is keeping things very hush hush but their friends and family are super excited for them."
A separate source told Us Weekly in February that the two were thrilled to be welcoming their first baby soon. “Having children and starting a family was part of Joe and Sophie’s plan,” the source said. “They’ve always known they’ve wanted kids.”
Turner spent a great deal of her pregnancy in quarantine with Jonas. She spoke during an April interview with Conan O'Brien about how much she had enjoyed that experience. "I’m an introvert; I’m a homebody," Turner started. "If I could stay at home all day, I would so this is great for me. I leave the house once a day anyway to walk my dogs and then that’s it so. I see how people are finding it difficult, but I don’t understand how people are really struggling to practice social distancing. I’m like all you have to do is stay at home and like get drunk at home, right?"
With her and Jonas, "Everything seems to be working in my favor here because Joe’s a real social butterfly so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me so it’s like prison for him [being in quarantine], but it’s great for me," she mused.
