When we first learned that Caitlyn Jenner would be appearing on Amazon's critically-acclaimed original series Transparent, we were ecstatic. Since then, a few details about Jenner's role have come to light. As Entertainment Weekly notes, she will be playing herself, but not much else was revealed about what her cameo would entail.

Now, series creator Jill Solloway is finally sharing some real details about Jenner's appearance on the show.

"She plays the Pfefferman's cousin," Solloway joked in an interview with Variety. "That's not true at all."

Even though Solloway's joke got our hopes way up, the truth about Jenner's role is almost as exciting.

"She's in a dream sequence. Ali [Gaby Hoffmann's character] has a kind of wild, nitrous-inspired, goddess-worshiping dream sequence," Solloway said. "And you can't talk about the goddess without [feminist playwright-poet] Ntozake Shange and Caitlyn Jenner, who are both in the dream."

Jenner's costar, Gabby Hoffman, had only amazing things to say about her work on the hit series.

"She was great," Hoffman gushed to Variety. "She was a total natural. She was funny. She was great at improvising."

You can watch Jenner's appearance when Transparent Season 3 premieres on Amazon September 23.
